Participants are introduced to key concepts and principles, then given opportunities to apply this knowledge through hands-on exercises that simulate real-world scenarios. This approach ensures a deeper understanding and retention of course content, while also enabling participants to see how these concepts apply in a real-world context.
Day 2 – Measure Phase and Introduction to Lean Tools:

Topics: Data Collection, Process Mapping, Basic Statistics, 5S Workplace Organization, Value Stream Mapping.
Activity: Perform process mapping and apply 5S principles in a simulated work environment.

Day 3 – Analyze Phase and Lean Problem-Solving:

Topics: Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Hypothesis Testing, Identifying Waste (Muda, Mura, Muri).
Activity: Conduct FMEA and identify waste in a given process scenario.

Day 4 – Improve Phase with Lean Solutions:

Topics: Solution Generation, Risk Analysis, Kaizen, Pull Systems and Kanban.
Activity: Develop a Kaizen plan and design a Kanban system for process improvement.

Day 5 – Control Phase and Sustaining Lean Improvements:

Topics: Control Plans, Statistical Process Control, Lean Thinking, Sustaining Improvements.
Activity: Create a control plan and a strategy for sustaining Lean improvements in a case study.
